In both World Politics and World History, a Communist is a person who believes in the idea of the State or Authoritarian Control or Ownership in the Means of Production. The idea was thought up by Karl Marx and his Intellectual Partner, Frederich Engels. Communism has a long history dating back to the 1848 Revolutions. In 1917, Russia was the first country to actually fall under Communism, and after World War 2, Communism spillover into other Countries, creating the Cold War and the Red Scare. In 1991, Communism crumbled, leaving China, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, and Cuba the only 5 Communist Nations still standing in the 21st Century.
