Current Supreme Consort of the Empire of Chawosauria since January 1, 2020; spouse of Supreme Leader Shang Jong Parker since 1988

Not to be confused with the South Korean K-pop artist Kim Chae-won.

Kim Chae-Won (Korean: 김채원, born September 7, 1972), officially Her Imperial Highness, Kim Chae-Won, Empress of the Empire of Chawosauria, also known by the posthumous term Empress Parker, is the incumbent Supreme Consort of the Empire of Chawosauria and the current Empress of the Empire of Chawosauria under her husband, Supreme Leader Shang Jong Parker, since January 1, 2020. Kim also served as First Lady of the Empire of Chawosauria when her husband was Prime Minister of the Empire of Chawosauria from 1990 to 1999. Chae-Won is the mother of Shang Jong Parker's five children: Shang Jong Parker Jr., Chae-Won Parker Obregón, Eun-Jung Parker, Dae-Jung Parker (soon to be Sang-Won Parker), and Chiang Jae Parker.

Kim Chae-Won (westernized as Chae-Won Kim) was born on September 7, 1972, in Seoul, during the dictatorship of Park Chung-hee, to Kim Sang-Won and Kim Geun-hye, it is rumored by many that the Kims are related to the North Korean Kim dynasty. In 1979, Park Chung-hee was assassinated and the Gwangiu Uprising broke out in 1980, where, given that her father is a member of the Imperial Assembly of the Chawopolis Palace, arrived at the Chawosaurian community in South Korea, where her father arrived with Member of Parliament Shang Jong Parker, whom Chae-Won fell in love with and had held a crush on him over since, but never officially met him until she became a Chawopolis Palace intern for Shang Jong Parker in 1986 in the wake of the Chernobyl disaster of 1986, resulting in the passage of the Chawosaurian law called the Chernobyl Act of 1987. Shang and Chae-Won finally officially met in 1987 and began a sexual relationship in 1988, Shang and Chae-Won married on October 18, 1988, and Chae-Won became pregnant in March 1989, resulting in the birth of Shang Jong Parker II on January 26, 1990. Shang and Chae-Won went on to have four more children and she and Parker became a strongly committed married couple but beyond that, partners with common goals and beliefs, it is said that Parker married her because she reminded him of his mother who is also Korean.

While Shang Jong Parker was serving as Prime Minister of the Empire of Chawosauria, one of the most distinctive honors in Chawosaurian society, Chae-Won was mostly left to raise the children herself and the Parkers never had a house of their own. Chae-Won was a very young mother and a very inexperienced mother at that, resorting in her to rely on Chawopolis Palace nannies to help her with the children. She learned alot about childcare from the nannies and began to take over the raising of the children herself. Chae-Won kept a low profile, away from the paparazzi, the tabloids, and the media. Shang Jong Parker and Chae-Won both agree to keep their children private from public life and made them live traditional middle class lifestyles in the United States while rarely allow them to hang out around the Chawopolis Palace. Chae-Won stood by her husband when he was suffering from kidney disease and was needed a kidney transplant, which she offered to donate her's and successfully saved Shang Jong Parker's life.

Parker left office as Prime Minister in 1999 and the Parkers lived a quiet family life in Los Angeles from 2000 to 2018, spending their time raising their children. In 2018, the Parkers' last and youngest, Chiang Jae Parker, becomes an adult and they were officially retired parents. Kim encouraged her husband to return to Chawosaurian politics now that the kids were grown and there was a new opening in Chawosauria in the 2019 Chawosaurian direct election. Parker announced his candidacy for Supreme Leader of the Empire of Chawosauria and it was historic because never in Chawosaurian history as a Prime Minister ever became Supreme Leader until now, the last time that was speculated was Prime Minister Jonathan Dragan Bismarck XVII under Supreme Leader Johnathan Alexandria. Parker's fame even among apolitical Chawosaurians due to his prime ministership elevated him to the top and in the general election, he cruised to a landslide election as Supreme Leader over incumbent Supreme Leader Ekewaka Mikala Kalawai'a, taking 79.7% of the popular vote.

Assuming the role of Empress of the Empire of Chawosauria on January 1, 2020, along with her husband as Supreme Leader of the Empire of Chawosauria and the inauguration of the 2020-2024 Chawosaurian Government, Kim has taken a quiet roll, barely speaking publicly or appearing publicly, mostly due to dramatic events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, events of political polarization, the outbreak of the Chawo-Uralic War, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and so many early 2020s problems and so forth. At first, her privacy was respected, but because she was the wife of the Supreme Leader, her lack of a role began to be seen as an insult and degradation of women by Chawosaurian women as they perceive Kim's low profile as her being silenced by a political establishment that is actually controlled by men, Supreme Leader Parker began to face criticism from Chawosaurian women and feminists for perceivingly keeping his wife out of public and the Empress herself said she doesn't feel oppressed. By late 2022, Kim began to face encouragement including by her husband to become more public and take more of a leadership roll in the Parker administration, which is mostly to purely male. In private conversations, Shang Jong Parker had encouraged her to make his administration advocate for progressive issues that she cares mostly about, among them women's rights around the world, especially that in the United States following the unpopular overturning of Roe v. Wade by the U.S. Supreme Court mid 2022.

Following the 2023 Chawosaurian elections, which showed disastrous election results for her husband, Kim Chae-Won becomes openly vocal about Linghu Xiaoliang's pursuit for her husband's power and Chae-Won and Xiaoliang began to clash, setting off their first showdown in their relationship which began to interest Chawosaurian political observers, historians, and biographers.

Kim Chae-Won is known for her style, she wears pink pantsuits and she keeps her hair short and slicked and she wears boots occasionally. She has a British accent due to spending her adult life in Britain and Canada, due to her life as a mother and a strict upbringing, Kim Chae-Won is tough and strict, pretty stern, no nonsense or excuse, and she has little to no tolerance for games, playing, secret keeping from her, nor does she tolerate any dissent, which are everything generally expected in Chawosaurian women. As the matriarch of the Parker household, she ruled that household and kept her children in check with an iron fist.

Despite her husband's unpopularity, Kim Chae-Won is universally popular with the Chawosaurian public and the elite.

Early Life

Kim Chae-Won was born on September 7, 1972, to Kim Sang-Won and Kim Geun-hye, in Seoul two decades after the Korean War. Chae-Won was born during the Third Republic of Korea which collapsed immediately after her birth in 1972 and she lived her first decade under Korea's 4th republic under the U.S.-backed dictatorship of Park Chung-hee, although the United States successfully marketed itself to be on the side of democracy in a global cold war with the Soviet Union, which was skeptical of democracy and sought to expand communism worldwide. Korea was a major Cold War battleground and the region had been divided between the Soviet-backed North Korea and the U.S.-backed South Korea since the two superpowers liberated Korea from Japanese colonialism in 1945. Chae-Won has five siblings as well, Sang-Won II, Hong-gi, Sang-mi, Sora, and Ye-eun.

On October 26, 1979, South Korean leader Park Chung-hee was assassinated and South Korea fell under turmoil as a result. Chae-Won was surrounded by power, her father was a member of the Imperial Assembly of the Chawopolis Palace as a member of the Chawallian Communist Party and a daring sympathizer of North Korea and the Soviet Union, and her mother was a tough, no nonsense and no excuse matriarch who ruled the Kim household with an iron fist and Chae-Won feared getting in trouble with her mother than her father who was always gone. Throughout the 1980s, South Korea lived under authoritarianism following the successful suppression of the Gwangiu Uprising. During which, her father along with Member of Parliament Shang Jong Parker arrived to care for Chawosaurian South Koreans affected by the uprising and that was when Chae-Won first knew of Shang Jong Parker, her future husband. Since then, Chae-Won had grown a strong interest in Shang Jong Parker, but Parker never knew Chae-Won till the mid-to-late 1980s.

Chae-Won was educated in the University of Victoria in Canada and occasionally in Britain throughout the 1980s until 1987 when she became a Chawopolis Palace intern.

Chawopolis Palace Internship

In 1987, Chae-Won became a Chawopolis Palace intern, where she worked around Supreme Leader Timothy Max Roosevelt and the 17th Chawopolis Palace and she finally got to work for MP Shang Jong Parker, which was how they first officially met, Shang Parker was her boss.

Relationship with Shang Jong Parker, Marriage, and Children

Shang Jong Parker and Chae-Won met in 1987 when Shang was a member of parliament and Chae-Won was assigned to work for him as an intern. Despite Shang being 27 and Chae-Won being 14 or 15, an age gap that can be controversial even in Chawosauria, the two overtime have developed a sexual relationship throughout 1987 and they became a serious couple. It is not uncommon for Chawosaurian elites, particularly men, to start their marriages with underage girls, in fact, it happened quite often, Garfield Lucas Webster II and Eleanora McClellan-Webster married in 1945 when Garfield II was 25 and Eleanora was 15 going on 16 and already pregnant, and Supreme Leader Timothy Max Roosevelt married his wife Empress Elizabeth Mary Alexandria in 1935 when they were the similar age gap as the Websters.

Shang proposed to Chae-Won on June 1988 and they married on October 18, 1988 at the Chawopolis Palace. Chae-Won becomes pregnant in March 1989 and after nine months of pregnancy, she gave birth to a son, named Shang Jong Parker Jr., Parker's name sake, in Los Angeles, on January 26, 1990, just 25 days after Shang Jong Parker became Prime Minister of the Empire of Chawosauria. With her husband busy with prime ministerial duties and responsibilities and dealing with the Revolutions of 1989, Chae-Won had to give up her job as an intern, rely on her husband's prime ministerial salary, and raise her son Shang II entirely on her own with the help from her mother and nannies. Chae-Won was too young to be a mother, being an 18-year-old mother, even her own mother told her that including that she was actually too young for marriage. Chae-Won struggled to raise her son competently, but there was little doubt that Chae-Won loved her child,

The marriage strained when Shang Parker was gone too long and after the Soviet Union fell in 1991, causing Parker to take much of the heat considering he is a Communist Prime Minister who oversaw the collapse of the world's powerful communist state by that time period. The marriage was so tensionate that Chae-Won wanted no sex with Shang, and that she just wanted distance from him. Overtime, Parker regained control of his ability to govern, especially through the rise of Nelson Mandela as President of South Africa and the fall of Apartheid. Parker won an upset reelection in the 1995 Chawosaurian legislative elections and regained the 47 seats that he lost in 1989, crucial in helping Shang Jong Parker and Kim Chae-Won's marriage stabilized.

Throughout the late 1990s, Kim Chae-Won and Shang Jong Parker had three more children, two were twins and Chiang was born in 2000, shortly after Parker's departure in 1999. Chae-Won became a cheerleading wife and a social policy advisor to Shang, and she was instrumental in helping Shang Jong Parker govern as Prime Minister in the late 1990s.

Shang Jong Parker developed kidney disease, starting in 1998, Shang showed signs of pain in his lower back and issues going to the restroom, and he'd go on to vomit, he refused to eat, repeatedly felt tired, and he had moments of confusion. Diagnosed with a chronic kidney disease, he was ordered to have a kidney transplant surgery, his kidney needed to be replaced by that of a deceased organ donor, a perfect match for Shang Jong Parker and it would work properly. Timothy Max Roosevelt reluctantly informed the Parkers that Shang cannot receive a second term as Prime Minister due to a doctor's recommendation that Shang would have to rest for a while if his surgery is successful, therefore being Prime Minister for another decade and a lack of order of succession at the time could complicate Parker's ability to recover. In Parker's place, Jonathan Lachlan MacAlasdair VIII was chosen to replace Parker on January 1, 2000, and to serve a term from 2000 to 2009. Parker was upset but even he knew he needed to recover from surgery.

Kim Chae-Won was already pregnant with her and Shang's youngest child, and the baby was on its way to be born. Parker's surgery would be on December 22, 1999, and he needed the surgery to be quick in order for him to see his son. The surgery takes place early on December 11, 1999, and it was a success, the infected kidney was removed and the donated kidney was successfully patched and stitched in and activated to work. By December 30, 1999, Parker would awake from his surgery but with severe stitch pains. Parker's term as Prime Minister expired on December 31, 1999, and he sent MacAlasdair a live TV address congratulating him and urged the new 20th Chawopolis Palace to support MacAlasdair as they did for him, though 43 new Communists were elected and all Communist incumbents were reelected, there were factions divided over whether or not to support MacAlasdair for his American southern roots. Kim Chae-Won gave birth to Chiang on January 3, 2000, in Los Angeles, and on separate phone conservations after her delivery, she attempted to rally support for MacAlasdair, several Communists refused her efforts and continued their opposition to MacAlasdair because he was a southerner. The nurse introduced the still-hospitalized Shang to the newborn Chiang, having to hold him in bed and sang a lullaby to Chiang.

Kim Chae-Won was able to leave the hospital but with Shang still needing to recover from his new stitches. Shang would not leave until June 2000, when his stitches healed but still needed to recover from surgery, and he was recommended that he stays home until in a year or longer. It was a very severe surgery for Shang Jong Parker. Shang Jong Parker and Kim Chae-Won have gotten their four children back from Shang's grandmother, and Shang was now a father of five children, three daughters and two sons. In Chawosaurian culture, a man being the patriarch of a female-majority household is seen as an embarrassment, but Parker accepted the gender-composition of his household, which was a narrow 4-3 female family household. Making Shang Jong Parker the third consecutive Prime Minister, two others being Jonathan Dragan Bismarck XVII and Leonid Ivan Bzovsky, to patriarch a female majority family.

From 2000 to 2018, Kim Chae-Won and Shang Jong Parker raised their five children in Bel Air, a wealthy neighborhood in Los Angeles, California, in the United States. The Parkers' Bel Air home was funded by Parker's prime ministerial pension, which pays $563.7 Billion a year in U.S. dollars if the former Prime Minister of Chawosauria lives in the United States. Being Supreme Leader of the Empire of Chawosauria makes one even richer, a net worth of $713 Trillion a year and a retirement pension of $513 Trillion a year, and since Parker is now Supreme Leader since 2020, add Parker's prime ministerial pension to his incoming Supreme Leader pension by the time he departs as Supreme Leader either in 2029 or 2039 if reelected, Parker would be making nearly up to $600 Trillion a year. When Supreme Leader Ekewaka Mikala Kalawai'a left office in 2019 after losing to Shang Jong Parker in a landslide in the 2019 Chawosaurian direct election, Kalawai'a rejected his pension, deciding to make money in different sources.

First Lady of the Empire of Chawosauria

At first, Chae-Won wanted no part in her husband's premiership and believed that

Empress of the Empire of Chawosauria

Kim Chae-Won, upon her husband's inauguration, became Empress of the Empire of Chawosauria and with her husband becoming Supreme Leader of the Empire of Chawosauria, she became Supreme Consort of the Empire of Chawosauria on January 1, 2020. Chae-Won had always accompanied her husband during the opening of the 2020-2024 Chawosaurian Government and the enactment of Parker's first policies, such as ending Chawosaurian Involvement in the Brexit Conflict in Britain and the enactment of the Disabilities Act of 2020, which established barriers for Chawosaurian Catholics and Jews, something Chae-Won had opposed.

Kim Chae-Won was the brains of her husband's progressive social policy, similar to the later premiership of her husband.

COVID-19 Pandemic

Kim Chae-Won immediately began social distancing and mask-wearing when COVID cases begin to grow increasingly throughout the world in February 2020, and she was partly instrumental in pushing her husband to trigger the 2020-2023 Chawosauria Lockdown. which Parker was eventually forced to do when it became clear that COVID was a greater threat than he hoped.

George Floyd Protests

Kim Chae-Won voiced her support for the Black Lives Matter movement, and advised her husband to lead the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 2020,

2020 U.S. Election and January 6th Insurrection

Chae-Won voiced her opposition to Chawosaurian Support for Joe Biden due to her fear that it could contradict Chawosauria's commitment to neutrality.

Marginalized Opposition to the Chawo-Uralic War

As her husband escalated the Chawo-Uralic Conflict, resulting in the war phase, the Chawo-Uralic War, in 2021, Kim Chae-Won voiced her opposition to her husband's execution of the standoff between Chawosauria and its Ural Mountains inhabitants over the Ural Wall. Parker had frequently defied her and proceeded to escalate the conflict to quell the Uralic Insurgency, only for the war to grow increasingly out of control and as the war continues to spiral out of control and her husband struggling to hold any last control of the war, Chae-Won was said to grow frustrated with, but also concern, for her husband as the war increases pressure on Parker very dramatically. The Chawo-Uralic War was officially declared with the Caspian Sea Resolution and the war has gotten so out of control for Chawosauria that the first stage of the war resulted in the Urali conquest of the Ural Wall and the second stage of the war was the prolonging and grinding stalemate between Chawosauria and the Uralis since 2022.

Starting in 2023, Shang Jong Parker became fully aware of the lack of stability of the conflict and changed his approach to the war, in part due to Chae-Won's increasing influence.

Confronting Linghu Xiaoliang in defense of Shang Jong Parker

Chae-Won sensed her husband's power and agenda are under siege under the more conservative faction of the Chawosaurian Communist Party that is increasingly being led by General Secretary Linghu Xiaoliang. As a staunchly loyal wife, Chae-Won becomes strongly defensive of Shang Jong Parker.

Relations

Linghu Xiaoliang

Main article: Linghu Xiaoliang

Linghu Xiaoliang, the General Secretary of the Empire of Chawosauria, has had a long standing relation with Kim Chae-Won, and they were family friends. but as Linghu begin to dissent against her husband's progressive agenda and challenge her husband's power, Xiaoliang and Chae-Won's relationship begin to sour.
